- 2 cups raw cacao powder (regular cocoa powder will work too)
- 1 3/4 cup sugar of choice
- Seeds of 1 vanilla bean
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or unsweetened cooking chocolate
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp. ground nutmeg (optional)
Pulse the chocolate chips into a powder using a food processor or blender – don’t let the blender get hot or the chocolate will melt. Gently open the vanilla bean and scoop out the tiny seeds inside. Add all ingredients to a large mouth Mason jar and shake vigorously. This mix will store in Mason jar for several months. Just add to hot milk and serve with the garnish of your choice.
